Sports of all kinds are big in the Greater Newburyport community. From youth sports to high school sports and on to adult leagues, etc., there is an ongoing, year round, full plate of sports activities occurring in the region on a daily basis.
High School Sports
Thanksgiving marks the end of the high school Fall Sports season and the beginning of the Winter Sports season. The first week after Thanksgiving is usually an accelerated week of tryouts for gymnastics, hockey, basketball, indoor track, wrestling, cheer-leading, volleyball, swimming and wrestling.
