Softball Pitching Clinics
Extra Innings of Salisbury will host softball pitching clinics on the following Thursdays in March:
- March 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th
The clinics are offered for two age groups:
- Ages 7-12 will practice from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.
- Ages 13-18 will practice from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.
New Over 30 Women’s Slow Pitch Softball League, Groveland

A new over 30 women’s slow pitch softball league is forming in Groveland, the Dirt the Skirt Softball League.
Practices and games will begin in June. Coaches and assistants are needed.
Registration: If you would like to play in the Dirt the Skirt Softball League, sign-up and registration will be held on February 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm (noon) at Groveland Town Hall. The fee is $50.

Newburyport Pioneer Baseball/Softball League Player Openings

The Newburyport Pioneer Baseball/Softball League has player openings in the following age divisions:
- C-Ball and Tee-Ball baseball divisions for players who will be 6 or 7 on or before April 30.
- Softball openings in the B and C divisions for players who will be 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 on or before Aug. 31.

The day’s are getting longer and the baseball talk is steadily picking up on the Boston sports talk shows every day.
A sure local sign of spring being not too far away are the baseball and softball clinics that are being offered in the Greater Newburyport region in February.
Extra Innings of Salisbury will host the following baseball and softball clinics in February:
- Baseball Hitting Clinic – February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd
- Baseball Pitching/Catching clinic – February 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th
- Softball Hitting Clinic – February 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th
- Softball Pitching Clinic – February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th
The clinics are offered for two age groups:
- Ages 7-12 from 6:00 pm to 7:15 p.m.
- Ages 13-18 from 7:15-8:30 p.m.
Softball Fielding and Hitting Clinic, Dec. 7th, 14th, and 20th

When: Sundays, December 7th, 14th and 20thWhere: DB’s Baseball & Softball Instructional Academy, Osgood Landing, 1600 Osgood St., Building #1630 (in the Lucent Complex), Route 125, North Andover, MA 01845
Cost: The cost is $40 per visit or $100 for all three sessions.
DB’s Baseball & Softball Instructional Academy will host “Instruction from Pros”with UMass Amherst assistant coach, two-time All-American, and Olympian Jessica Merchant.
Coach Merchant will be hosting fielding and hitting softball clinics on December 7, 14 and 20 with two sessions beginning at 12:30 and 1:30 each day.
The cost is $40 per visit or $100 for all three sessions. Limit to 12 players per session.

Extra Innings in Salisbury is now accepting registration for its fall baseball and softball leagues.
The leagues will start on September 6 and 7 with five different age divisions for baseball and three for softball.

A Triton Softball Clinic will be offered from July 28 to 31 (8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) for athletes entering Grades 5 through 9.

Learn To Pitch Softball Camp

When: June 23 to 27 (9:00 am to 11 am)
Cost: $150 per player
The Learn to Pitch Softball Camp will run from June 23 to 27 (9:00 am to 11:00 am) at the Amesbury Middle School. The camp is being run by Amesbury High softball coach Chris Per.
Girls in grades 3 through 11 are welcome. The cost is $150 per player.
