Pre-Event Kick-off Fundraiser At The Upper Crust Pizzeria For The 5th Annual Spring Fever 5k & Family Fun
The Upper Crust Pizzeriahas joined hands with the Newburyport Elementary PTO to kick off the 5th Annual Spring Fever 5k & Family Fun Run with a Pre-event kick-off fundraiser at the Upper Crust, Newburyport on Tuesday April 27th from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm.
This Pre-Race Event is meant to give everyone (especially race participants!) a chance to eat healthy carbs and get psyched for one of the Newburyport Elementary PTO’s largest family events of the year.
Haven’t yet registered for the Event? From 5:30 to 8:30 pm, volunteers will be on hand at the Upper Crust to take your registration and answer questions about the Race. During the dinner hours you will be able to register for the Sunday, May 2nd event.
Best yet, proceeds from this fundraising event benefit Newburyport’s elementary schools!

11th Annual Hershey Youth Program Starts April 27th At Fuller Track, Newburyport

When: Tuesdays, 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m, starting April 27th
Cost: $30.00 for boys and girls, 9 thorugh 14 years of age
The Hershey National Youth Track and Field program, sponsored locally by the Winner’s Circle Running Club, will start on Tuesday, April 27th at Fuller Track in Newburyport.
It is open to all area youth ages 9-14. Events vary with age from sprints, middle distance and softball throw.
The local Hershey meet is June 15th, and the state meet is June 26th for qualifiers.
Fee: The program fee is $30.

Join the Seacoast Science Center, Rye, NH for its 2nd annual Whale of a 5K Trail Race & Kid’s Fun Run in Odiorne Point State Park on Saturday, April 24.
The 5K cross-country trail run, created by Eastern Mountain Sports Extreme Team Captain Jennifer Shultis, will bring you through the forest, by the rocky shore and sandy beach, and along side historic military fortifications.
Come prepared to run on varied terrain and whatever the weather may bring.
Competitive and non-competitive runners and walkers are welcome.
The Kids Fun Run is for ages 12 and under, includes a 100-yard dash and/or a 1/2 mile run. All Fun Run participants win a prize!

- Welcome — 8:45 a.m.
- 5K Cross Country Race — 9:00 a.m.

The Winner’s Circle Running Club will sponsor running workouts on Wednesday evenings from May 5th through June 16th at 6:00 p.m. at Fuller Track in Newburyport.
All abilities are welcome. Newburyport High coach Mike McCormick (978-382-0738) will run the workouts.
Cost: The cost is $10 per session.

The Winner’s Circle Running Club is coordinating the 29th Annual April Fools Four-Mile Road Race that will take place on Saturday, April 3rd at 11:00 am.
The race will start at the Winner’s Circle Sports Bar in Salisbury. The pre-race entry fee is $17 (received by 3/25/2010). Race day entry is $20.

The 29th Annual New Years Day Hangover Classic 10K and 5K Road Races, organized and hosted by the Winner’s Circle Running Club, will be run at 11:45 am on Friday, January 1, 2009 at Salisbury Beach.
There is an optional “ocean plunge” for those who truly want to be invigorated after the race.
The race starts at 11:45 a.m. at Salisbury Beach Center, where runners will begin to congregate at the Carousel Lounge 27 Ocean Front Street.
Refreshments and live music will be provided after the race at the Carousel Lounge. Cash prizes will be awarded to top finishers.
Santa’s Toy Trot Road Race, Sweetsir School, Merrimac, Sunday, December 13th

The Santa’s Toy Trot 2 Mile, 4 Mile and 6 Mile Road Races Plus Non-Competitive Walk and 1/2 Mile SANTA’S ELVES FUN RUN for Kidswill be held on Sunday, December 13th at the Sweetsir School in Merrimac, MA.
The Santa’s Elves Run is free, but please preregister. The Elves Run & Walk are non-competitive.
The adult race starts at 1:15 pm start in Merrimac, MA.
The Elves Fun Run starts at 1:00 pm.
Proceeds from the road race and walk to benefit TOYS FOR TOTS and HOLIDAY HELPERS.
Cider Mash 5K Orchard Run, Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury, Sunday, October 25th

The 2nd Annual Cider Mash 5K Orchard Run will be held on Sunday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m.at Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury. The cross-country race is being offered by Cider Hill Farm together with Heat Training of Amesbury.
A portion of the proceeds raised from the event will go toward supporting Amesbury School District athletics.
The race begins at 11 a.m. and ends at Cider Hill Farm on Fern Avenue. Apple cider doughnuts, fresh apple cider and apples will be provided for all participants.
Prizes And Medals:
Prizes will be awarded to overall winners in both male and female categories. Some of the local businesses that have donated prizes for the race include: City Sports, TriSports, Zoot Sports, the Barking Dog, Simply Sweet and more.
Medals will be given to the top five winners in each category of children (10 and under, 14 and under), youth (15 to 18), open (19 to 29, 30 to 39), masters (40 to 49), senior masters (50-plus), 60 to 69, and 70-plus, as well as first place for “Amesbury resident.”
All children who participate will receive a medal and a pumpkin whoopie pie from Dough Raise Me.
Refreshments and Hayrides:
Refreshments and hayrides will be provided by Cider Hill Farm. Raffles from local merchants Ruby Slipper, Neat and Sweet Cleaning, Ovedia, Simply Sweet and more will also be available.

3rd Annual Mike Donohoe 5K Run/Walk, Georgetown, Sunday, October 4th

Where: Perley School, Georgetown, MA
The 3rd Annual Mike Donohoe Memorial 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, October 4th at the Perley School in Georgetown. The event raises money to benefit the Melanoma Foundation of New England and the Michael J. Donohoe Scholarship Fund.
Parking for the race is available at Georgetown Middle/High School, located on 11 Winter Street.
