Net proceeds from this women-only race, sponsored by the Winner’s Circle Running Club, will benefit the Jeanne Geiger Women’s Crisis Center (Newburyport, MA) and A Safe Place Inc (Portsmouth, NH).

3rd Annual Cider Mash 5K Trail Run, Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury, Sunday, October 24th

This is a true cross-country trail run! The race starts and finishes at Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury.
If you like to get dirty and challenge yourself with hills, mud and water, then you don’t want to miss this race! This is great race for first time runners and seasoned runners looking for a more interesting 5K. With lots of hills and apples to jump over, this race has been proven to be one of the toughest.
The Race will go on rain or shine. It is up to the race director if the race will be cancelled or moved due to damaging weather.
A portion of the proceeds from the event are donated to the Amesbury Educational Foundation.
At the finish, runners will be rewarded with cider hill donuts and apples. Awards and prizes will be given to overall winners male & female.

Run4Fun Cross Country Program, Woodsom Farm, Amesbury, July & August 2010

Woodsom Farm, Amesbury is an excellent venue for cross country running.
This summer the Run4Fun Cross Country Programwill offer two sessions at Woodsom Farm:
- Session One – Mondays through Thursday from July 6th through July 23rd
- Session Two- Mondays through Thursday from August 2nd through August 20th
At the end of each session, there will be a race at Woodsom Farm.
Woodsom Farm is owned by the Town of Amesbury and is zoned open space conservancy, thus protecting it from development. The Farm contains approximately 370 acres of prime pastureland, bird nesting sites, open space, drumlin hills, and wetlands, bisected by Lions’ Mouth Road and is located approximately two miles from the Town Center.
The Powow River is the north western boundary of the farm, running from the lakes, back briefly into New Hampshire and then into Lake Gardiner, through downtown and into the Merrimack River.
The Woodsom Farm property was purchased in 1989 from the Woodsom Trust for $5 million dollars and also includes two parcels of open space land behind the houses on Lion’s Mouth Road. The Woodsom Farm property also adjoins the Town Forest.

The 5th Annual Winner’s Circle Running Club and Yankee Runner of Newburyport River Rivals Summer Track Grand Prix Series starts on Tuesday, July 6th at Amesbury High School.
This five-meet summer track and field series for youth and adults is offered by the Winner’s Circle Running Club and Yankee Runner of Newburyport in collaboration with Newburyport, Amesbury, Pentucket, and Triton Track high track programs. Events include shot put and discus (high school only), high jump, long jump, 100, 200, 400, 800, mile and 2-mile.

The Maudslay Summer Cross Country Race Series will run every Thursday evening from June 24th through August 19th. The event will start at 6:00 p.m.
There will be a 3.0- and a 1.5-mile cross country race at Maudslay State Park, Newburyport on the Travis Landreth course.
All ages are welcome, all those under the age of 14 will receive a ribbon.
There is no cost for the races, but donations will be accepted to defray the cost of permit fees and ribbons.
Triton Youth Track & Field/Running Clinic, Byfield, Mondays and Thursdays, Starts July 8th

The Triton Youth Track and Field/Running Clinic will run Mondays and Thursdays beginning Thursday, July 8th (4:30-6 p.m.) at Triton Regional High School, Byfield.
The cost is $50 per person and it’s open to students in grades 5-8.

The 2nd Annual Byfield Day 5K Road Race will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 10:00 am. Registration for the race will be held at at the American Legion Park which is located behind the Byfield Post Office.
The race will take place at the intersection of Central Street and Main Street in Byfield.
Entry Fee: The entry fee is $12 or $15 on race day.

The Annual Ipswich Rotary 5K Race and Walk is being held at Appleton Farms, Ipswich on Saturday, June 26th. The event is being coordinated by the Ipswich chapter of Rotary International.
The race is being held to support the local and international charitable endeavors of Ipswich Rotary. Programs include the Ipswich Rotary Scholarship Fund, the Lend-A-Hand Seniors Program (available through the Ipswich Council on Aging), PolioPlus and RotoPlast.

The 5th annual Newburyport Spring Fever 5K and Family Fun Runwill be held on Sunday, May 2nd, rain or shine. The event, sponsored by the Newburyport Elementary PTO, benefits the Newburyport elementary schools.
Come run through the scenic streets of beautiful downtown Newburyport and enjoy some of the best surroundings New England has to offer. The family fun run starts at 12:00 pm for children 5th grade and under, walkers start at 12:40 pm and the USATF certified and sanctioned 5K starts at 1:00 pm.
Local talent “Don’t Call me Shirley” will provide musical entertainment, while local merchants supply delicious food.
Prizes will be awarded to top female/male competitor in each class.
All proceeds from this fundraising event benefit Newburyport’s public elementary schools.
