Newburyport Youth Services Announces New Club, The NYS Golf Club, For Newburyport High School Golfers

Newburyport Youth Services (NYS) is excited to announce the creation of a new club for high school golfers, the NYS Golf Club.
The NYS is a great opportunity for Newburyport high school golfers to get out on the green fro fun and recreation.
Program Details:
The NYS Golf Club will meet three times a week for one month and will end with a Family Tournament for club members and their families!
The club will focus on three main areas:
- Golf Etiquette (appearance, honesty, respect for other golfers, and the course)
- Individual Golf Skills
- How to Prepare a Golf Scorecard
10th Annual Garry F. Doyle Memorial Golf Tournament, Apple Hill Golf Club, E. Kingston, NH, Saturday, September 26th

Cost: $125 per person
The 10th Annual Garry F. Doyle Memorial Golf Tournament will be held September 26th at the Apple Hill Golf Club in East Kingston, N.H., with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.
Entry Fee: The $125 per person, entry fee includes:
- Greens fees for 18 holes
- Lunch
- A hole-in-one contest for a new car
- Prizes and raffle items
Prizes and raffle items will be offered with WROR’s Tom Doyle as master of ceremonies.
Proceeds benefit the Garry F. Doyle Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Friends of Newburyport Hockey will be hosting their 6th Annual Clipper Cup Golf Tournament to help raise money for Newburyport hockey programs at Evergreen Valley Golf Course, Newburyport on Saturday, September 19th.
Fee:
The cost is $100 per player. The tournament is a four-player, team-scramble format. The cost includes 18 holes, cart, lunch and beverages.

If you do, you can make a silent bid to any member of the 2008 Newburyport High School golf team before November 10th. The winner will be announced on November 10th at the Golf Team’s award dinner at Newburyport High School.

The Paul McGrath Memorial Fund was established in 1998 to commemorate Paul McGrath, a long time Amesbury, Massachusetts resident. Paul’s love of life and ability to live life to its fullest every minute of his brief time here will forever keep him in our hearts.
When he died, we tried to help others by asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Amesbury Youth Hockey League. Those donations alone raised over $2,500 and the Paul McGrath Memorial Fund, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, was founded.
In each of the first nine Paul McGrath Memorial Golf Tournaments, we have attempted to raise significant funds and apply them where we can help to enrich the lives of our local youth. We have donated our proceeds to local youth sports organizations, and others who aim to help improve the lives of our youth, including:
