The Cape Ann League Field Hockey Clinic will be held at Amesbury Sports Park in August at the following dates:

  • August 16th to 18th
  • August 23rd to 25th

The clinic is open to all players in or out of the Cape Ann League from grades 5-12.

Cost:
The cost for one session is $50 or $100 for two.

Newburyport/Lincoln-Sudbury Hockey Game Rescheduled To Thursday, February 18th

Newburyport Five Cents Savings BankDue to inclement weather (snow) and poor driving conditions, the Newburyport/Lincoln-Sudbury hockey game originally scheduled to be played at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 16th, has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 18th at 1:00 pm at the Graf Rink, Newburyport.

The 15th Annual Newburyport Bank Ice Hockey Classic, sponsored by the Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, gets underway at the Graf Rink, Newburyport runs through Friday, February 19th.

River Rivals Youth Field Hockey Program, Walk In Registration, Amesbury Skate & Sport, Through September 12th

The River Rivals Youth Field Hockey program is holding walk-in registration, now through Saturday, September 12th, at Amesbury Skate and Sport, 77 Macy Street, Amesbury.

The River Rivals Youth Field Hockey program, a five-week Sunday program (from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., from September 20th through October 25th, is for Amesbury, Newburyport, Pentucket and Triton students, grades 3-8.

Participants will learn skills and scrimmage under the direction of high school coaches and players.

Fee:

A $75 registration fee covers equipment (stick, shin guards, mouth guard) and a shirt.

River Rivals Field Hockey Program Seeking New Coordinator And Parent Volunteers

The River Rivals Field Hockey program is looking for a new coordinator and additional parent volunteers to keep the program going.

The River RIvals Field Hockey program was started in 2003 to introduce girls in the local communities to the sport of field hockey.  The program will not continue without the assistance of a new coordinator.

North Shore Adult Women’s Field Hockey Registration Available Online Now Through May 31st

North Shore Field Hockey LeagueInterested in playing field hockey in the North Shore Adult Women’s Field Hockey League?

If you are, you can sign up and register online, now through May 31, on the North Shore Adult Women’s Field Hockey League website.

Games will be played Saturday mornings, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Perley School in Georgetown, MA throughout the summer.

The cost to join the league is $80 for the season and includes 11 full field games.

Newburyport Field Hockey Team In State Tournament Game at Fuller Field

Good luck to the Newburyport Clippers field hockey team in their Eastern Massachusetts Division 2 state tournament game against Tewksbury today (Wednesday, October 29th; 2:30 pm) at Fuller Field, Newburyport.

If you’re in the area on Wednesday afternoon, stop by Fuller Field and cheer on the Clippers (12-2-5), who are ranked as the Number 4 seed in the Eastern Mass. Division 2 state tournament.

Newburyport is hosting No. 13 Tewksbury (8-8-2) this afternoon (2:30 p.m., Fuller Field). The Clippers are returning to the state tournament for the first time in three years In 2004 they made it to the Division 2 North semifinal.

Lauren Hefferan, who took over as coach prior to the start of last season and led the team to a 5-10-4 record, was recently named CAL Division 1 Coach of the Year

High School Field Hockey Under The Lights, October 2nd

Where: Newburyport World War Memorial Stadium and Amesbury Sports Park

Most high school field hockey games are played in the late afternoons after school so it is often difficult for many working adults to attend and see these games.

Tonight two of the local River Rival high school field hockey teams are playing under the lights.

North Reading at Newburyport (6:45 pm start), World War Memorial Stadium, Newburyport

The Newburyport girls field hockey team is off to one of its best starts in several years. They have played well defensively as a team, led by their core group of seniors.

Tonight they take on North Reading at World War Memorial Stadium which is located behind the high school in Newburyport. The game is scheduled to start at 6:45 pm.

The Amesbury girls field hockey team (3-5-1) is getting back on track again after a recent three-game slide and just recently tied a strong Lynnfield team, 2-2.

Tonight they take on Ipswich at Amesbury Sports Parkwhich is located at 12 Hunt Road in Amesbury. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
