Where: Amesbury Sports Park, 12 S. Hunt Road, Amesbury, MA
Field Hockey

The Cape Ann League Field Hockey Clinic will be held at Amesbury Sports Park in August at the following dates:

August 16th to 18th
August 23rd to 25th

The clinic is open to all players in or out of the Cape Ann League from grades 5-12.

Cost:
The cost for one session is $50 or $100 for two.

Newburyport Boys Basketball Association Summer Program At Newburyport High School Gymnasium

When: Monday, June 21st to Thursday, June 24th (2010).
Where: Newburyport High School, High Street, Newburyport, MA

The Newburyport Boys Basketball Association is offering a summer hoops program for boys in grades five through eight at the Newburyport High School gymnasium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, starting Tuesday, June 29th.

7th and 8th Graders: Tuesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 pm from June 29th through August 10th.
5th and 6th Graders: Tuesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 pm from July 1st through August12th.

Cost: The cost is $50 for all seven sessions or $10 for each session attended.

The Triton Youth Track and Field/Running Clinic will run Mondays and Thursdays beginning Thursday, July 8th (4:30-6 p.m.) at Triton Regional High School, Byfield.

The cost is $50 per person and it’s open to students in grades 5-8.

Nor’easter Baseball Clinic 2010, June 28th to July 2nd, Eiras Park, Rowley

Where: Eiras Park, Rt. 133, Rowley, MA (Near Rowley Police Station)

The Nor’easter Baseball Instructional Baseball Clinic will be held June 28th to July 2nd at Eiras Park in Rowley, MA.

Youth players will be given the chance to develop their skills with instruction from past and current members from the reigning American Legion State Championship team the Post 150 Nor’easters, which includes many of the top college and high school players from the north shore.

Throughout the week players will be given the chance to improve and test their skills during various drills and friendly competition while grouped with campers of similar age and ability. All players will receive a T-shirt and be provided water Monday through Friday.

The week will be capped off with a pizza party, provided by Rowley House of Pizza, and prizes.

This is a great opportunity for youth athletes to harness the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and exciting environment. The Post 150 Nor’easters team includes players from the following schools: Newburyport, Triton, Amesbury, Georgetown, Ipswich and Pentucket

Proceeds from the clinic will help fund local Little League, Babe Ruth, and American Legion baseball programs.

The annual Clipper Girls Basketball Camp, under the direction of NHS athletic director John Daileanes, will be offered Monday, June 21st (Noon to 5:00 p.m.) and Tuesday, June 22nd through Thursday, June 24th (8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) in the Newburyport High School gymnasium.

The camp is open to all girls entering grades 3-9 in the fall of 2010.

The Newburyport Youth Baseball Summer Camp will run for two weeks from Monday, June 21st through Friday, July 2nd.

The camp runs from 9:00 am to Noon (12:00 pm)-noon) at the Newburyport Pioneer Park on Merrimack Street.
The camp is for boys and girls ages 5-12.

Cost:

The cost is $125 for one week or $225 for two. Any additional siblings will be $100 for one week and $150 for two.

The Newburyport Baseball School, conducted by Newburyport High coach Bill Pettingell, will be offering two sessions at the Nock Middle School, Newburyport in the month of March.

The baseball school will be conducted in the school’s gymnasium.

Dates & Times:

March 1st to 5th: 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm (for athletes 12 and under)
March 8th to 12th: 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm ( for athletes 12 and over)

Topics that will be covered at the baseball school include stretching, recognizing situations, pitching, catching and fielding.

Cost:

The cost is $80 per athlete or $50 each for brothers.

The Clipper Boys’ Basketball winter clinics, directed by Newburyport High School coach Tom L’Italien and Athletic Director. John Daileanes, will be offered for boys in grades 2-8 on Sundays starting on November15th and continuing through January 10th.

The clinic will be offered on the following Sundays:

November: 15th, 22nd, and 29th
December: 6th, 13th, and 20th
January: 3rd and 10th

Where To Meet:

Grades 2-4 will be at the Nock Middle School from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Grades 5-8 will be at Newburyport High School from 1-2:30 p.m.

The Newburyport High School Girls Youth Basketball Clinic will be held in the school gymnasium on Saturdays from November 14th through January 31st.

Girls in grades 3-8 will have the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamental skills of basketball.

Clinic Schedule:

Grades 3, 4 and 5 will practice from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.
Grades 6, 7 and 8 will practice from 9:30 am to 11:00 am each Saturday

Varsity players will assist the high school coaches with instruction and demonstration.

How To Register:

Registration should be brought to the first meeting on November 14th.

The Amesbury Youth Rotary Basketball League (AYRBL) will be conducting fall preseason workout/clinics to prepare for the winter basketball season.

Boys and girls from Amesbury and South Hampton in grades 3-8 are all welcome to participate. The clinics will run from September 14th to October16th at the Amesbury Middle School.

How To Register

To register, please mail a check for $35 along with the participant’s name, gender, upcoming grade, e-mail address and phone number.

Sibling discounts are $30 for each additional child.
