EXPLORE THE MERRIMACK RIVER ESTUARY AND THE TERNS OF WOODBRIDGE ISLAND
Want to explore the Merrimack River Estuary and observe the terns on Woodbridge Island from the water?
On Saturday, June 20th, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center, Newburyport, and Plum Island Kayak, Newburyport, are co-sponsoring a kayaking tour of the Merrimack RIver Estuary, including the islands in the estuary, such as Woodbrige Island, which are popular summer birding habitats for terns.
If you go, you’ll paddle your kayak around the islands in the Merrimack River estuary and observe terns in their natural element. Kayak and equipment rental are all included in the fee.

Meet at the Joppa Flats Education Center, One Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA.
Fee
$60 for Mass Audubon members; $70 for non-members.
