Nor’easter Baseball Clinic 2010, June 28th to July 2nd, Eiras Park, Rowley

Where: Eiras Park, Rt. 133, Rowley, MA (Near Rowley Police Station)

The Nor’easter Baseball Instructional Baseball Clinic will be held June 28th to July 2nd at Eiras Park in Rowley, MA.

Youth players will be given the chance to develop their skills with instruction from past and current members from the reigning American Legion State Championship team the Post 150 Nor’easters, which includes many of the top college and high school players from the north shore.

Throughout the week players will be given the chance to improve and test their skills during various drills and friendly competition while grouped with campers of similar age and ability. All players will receive a T-shirt and be provided water Monday through Friday.

The week will be capped off with a pizza party, provided by Rowley House of Pizza, and prizes.

This is a great opportunity for youth athletes to harness the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and exciting environment. The Post 150 Nor’easters team includes players from the following schools: Newburyport, Triton, Amesbury, Georgetown, Ipswich and Pentucket

Proceeds from the clinic will help fund local Little League, Babe Ruth, and American Legion baseball programs.

Newburyport Youth Baseball Summer Camp At Pioneer Park, Newburyport, June 21st to July 2nd

When: June 21st through July 2nd, from 9:00 am to Noon (12:00 pm)
Where: Newburyport Pioneer Park, Merrimac Street, Newburyport, MA

The Newburyport Youth Baseball Summer Camp will run for two weeks from Monday, June 21st through Friday, July 2nd.

The camp runs from 9:00 am to Noon (12:00 pm)-noon) at the Newburyport Pioneer Park on Merrimack Street.
The camp is for boys and girls ages 5-12.

Cost:

The cost is $125 for one week or $225 for two. Any additional siblings will be $100 for one week and $150 for two.

Saturday, April 17th from 10:00 am to noon

The Amesbury Pony League has four divisions:

Senior (16- to 18-years-old)
A-division (15-years-old)
B-division (14-years-old)

Post 150 Nor’Easters Registration and Tryouts

Baseball rregistration is currently underway for Post 150 Nor’Easters.

Post 150 Nor’Easters Legion Baseball will hold registration and light workouts every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Eiras Park in Rowley beginning April 11th.

Players born in 1991 or later are eligible to play with the senior team, players born 1993 or later are eligible to play with the junior team.

Baseball players from the following school districts can register to play for the Post 150 Nor’Easter’ team:

Amesbury
Newburyport
Pentucket
Triton
Georgetown
Ipswich

How To Register

You can register now by e-mail by sending an email to qnns@comcast.net, or you can attend a registration/tryout at Eiras Park in Rowley, at 5:00 pm on Sundays in the month of April.

Interested In Baseball and Softball Umpiring in Newburyport?

The Newburyport Umpire’s Association is asking all returning and new umpires to attend an initial meeting on either Saturday March 13th or Sunday, March 14th in the lower conference room of the Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, State Street, Newburyport.

You only have to attend one of the meeting sessions, either Saturday or Sunday.

First-year umpires must be at least 14 years old as of April 30, 2009.

Newburyport Baseball School, Two Sessions In March, Nock Middle School Gym, Newburyport MA

The Newburyport Baseball School, conducted by Newburyport High coach Bill Pettingell, will be offering two sessions at the Nock Middle School, Newburyport in the month of March.

The baseball school will be conducted in the school’s gymnasium.

Dates & Times:

March 1st to 5th: 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm (for athletes 12 and under)
March 8th to 12th: 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm ( for athletes 12 and over)

Topics that will be covered at the baseball school include stretching, recognizing situations, pitching, catching and fielding.

Cost:

The cost is $80 per athlete or $50 each for brothers.

Registration for the Salisbury Youth Baseball/Softball League will be held on the following dates at the following locations:

Wednesday, January 20th at the Salisbury Elementary School lobby from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Saturday, January 23rd at the Salisbury Fire Station from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Registration Fees:

$95 for coed instructional baseball

Extra Innings of Salisbury will host a Little Big Leaguer Baseball Clinic, which will help prepare athletes ages 7-9 for Little League.
