Interested In Baseball and Softball Umpiring in Newburyport?
The Newburyport Umpire’s Association is asking all returning and new umpires to attend an initial meeting on either Saturday March 13th or Sunday, March 14th in the lower conference room of the Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, State Street, Newburyport.
You only have to attend one of the meeting sessions, either Saturday or Sunday.
First-year umpires must be at least 14 years old as of April 30, 2009.

The baseball school will be conducted in the school’s gymnasium.

The Merrimac Little Leaguewill hold a final open registration for the upcoming baseball season on Saturday January 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Merrimac Library.
If you can’t attend Saturday’s open registration, you can mail the registration forms to MLL, P.O. Box 146, Merrimac, MA 01860.

Registration for the Salisbury Youth Baseball/Softball League will be held on the following dates at the following locations:
- Wednesday, January 20th at the Salisbury Elementary School lobby from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
- Saturday, January 23rd at the Salisbury Fire Station from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Registration Fees:
- $95 for coed instructional baseball
- $115 for minor/major baseball and softball (with a $95 fee for each additional child in a family)

Extra Innings of Salisbury will host a Little Big Leaguer Baseball Clinic, which will help prepare athletes ages 7-9 for Little League.
The four-season clinic will stress the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, and fielding.
Schedule And Cost:
The clinic will take place on the following Sundays: December 13th, 20th and 27th from 10:30 am to Noon).
The cost is $125 per player.

The Newburyport Youth Baseball Camp is being held the week of August10th through 14th at the Pioneer Park in Newburyport.
The camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm (noon) Monday through Friday.
Cost:
The cost is $100 per camp, and additional siblings will pay a $75 fee.

Newburyport High Alumni Annual Baseball Game, Saturday, August 1st

The annual Newburyport High School Alumni Baseball Game will be held on Saturday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m.
Proceeds from this year’s alumni game will benefit the Jimmy Fund.
Cost
The cost is $20 to play, $10 for general admission and $10 for a T-shirt.
Annual awards will be presented at the end of the game.
If you can’t play or make it to the game, you can help support the fundraising effort by sending a check to Newburyport High School, care of William Pettingell. Please make your check payable to the Jimmy Fund or the NHS Alumni Baseball Association or NHS Baseball.
Newburyport High School Faculty/Boston Red Sox Alumni Softball Game Fundraiser, June 13th

Members of the Newburyport High School faculty will be competing against former Boston Red Sox players in a softball game at Cashman Field, Newburyport on Saturday, June 13th, at 7:00 pm.
All proceeds from the event will go directly toward the Newburyport high school athletics budget to help defray costs associated with the operation of the athletic program.
The event is being sponsored by the Newburyport High School Athletic Department, in conjunction with East Coast Marketing Group (ECMG).
