Dio you love maritime history and shipbuilding? Have you thought of volunteering? The Essex Shipbuilding Museum is looking for new volunteers to help carry on its programs throughout the year.

The success of the Essex Shipbuilding Museum is due in large part to its energetic and motivated volunteers who devote countless hours to the museum. While the museum has many active volunteers, there is always a need for more.

To recruit new volunteers, and possibly better motivate its existing volunteers, the Essex Shipbuilding Museum is having a Volunteers’ Day with two purposes in mind.

  1. Providing an opportunity for interested individuals to learn more about the Museum and the many interesting and fulfilling opportunities that we have for volunteers.
  2. Providing an opportunity for existing volunteers to get a broader picture of what goes on in the Museum as a whole and what some other opportunities are.

Whether you are a seasoned professional or a raw newcomer, the museum can find a place for you!

You will have a good time, meet some really interesting people, and have the satisfaction of doing something that will make a lasting difference. The event is open to both members and non-members.
