The 13th Annual Amesbury Rotary Club Auction scheduled for November 10th from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the Holy Family Parish Hall in Amesbury provides many opportunities for local businesses to get involved and to spotlight their business.
There will be both a live and silent auction so donate something and get lots of publicity. We have our mystery gift bags which are very popular. They are stuffed with logo items from various merchants as well as gift certificates, scratch tickets and more.
One bag has a $100 bill and one a $50. While we have 18 bags you do not need to donate 18 items. Have a discount coupon? We will put that in as well.

Chili lovers can look forward to sampling 20 or so versions of this tasty delight judged by 5 local celebrities. Admission includes cornbread, veggies, hot dogs, dessert and the featured item; varied chili recipes including red, green, meat and vegetarian options.

Boston Bruins hockey fervor continues on the North Shore! A group of energy experts will be at the Newburyport CleanTech Center on Tuesday, October from 8:00 am to 10:30 am to advise area industry and manufacturing companies, like those in the Industrial Park, on how to reduce utility costs by 20-30 percent.
The energy experts will focus on simple energy reduction techniques that carry significant rebates and other incentives and that can pay back in one year and two years. There is no charge to attend.
Energy experts will describe the simplest steps any commercial enterprise can take, or what is considered the “low hanging fruit,” in utility cost savings techniques. Their information will cover lighting upgrades, equipment energy use optimization and water conservation.
An interactive question and answer period precedes a continental breakfast.

The forum will feature three regional experts in the areas of fair housing, creating open communities, and the positive impact of increased diversity. All residents and members of the business community are invited to attend the free program and join in the dialogue.
