Shorebirds Of Newburyport Harbor

Join Sue McGrath, of Newburyport Birders for an early morning search of shorebirds along the extensive mudflats of the Merrimack River which provide excellent feeding grounds for these migrants.

You’ll spend time at viewing sites along Water Street, Newburyport observing, appreciating and identifying these long range migrants. You’ll also learn about aids to field identification including habitat preference, feeding techniques and physical characteristics.

Bring beverage and a snack.
