Looking for an excuse to be on the beach on a nice Wednesday summer evening?

The Blue Ocean Society is having a beach cleanup at Jenness Beach, Rye, NH on Wednesday evening, June 30th at 6:00 pm.

They provide all supplies, although it’s great if you can bring your own work gloves as that minimizes the number of disposable gloves they’ll have to use.

The cleanup starts off with a brief orientation, then we’ll head out to the beach to pick up litter and record our findings as part of our long-term study on marine pollution.

After the cleanup, we’ll weigh the trash and tally data cards. The whole process takes 1-2 hours.

Metered parking is available in the lot at the beach, or free parking is available along the roadside.
