View Nesting Ospreys Live Via Woods Hole Osprey Cam, WoodsHole, MA
June 1, 2010
Here is a link to the Woods Hole Osprey Cam website.
The project is supported and funded by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and Woods Hole Sea Grant.
Ospreys are raptors which dine almost exclusively on live fish and hover over water at altitudes of 50 to 200 feet. When they spot a tasty-looking fish, they dive feet-first into the water to get their prey.
It would be nice to see if we could utilize web cam technology to monitor nesting ospreys in the Greater Newburyport region.
