Looking for an excuse to head out to the beach this Sunday, May 23rd?
If you would like to help with a Plum Island beach cleanup, BOAT CAMP Inc, Newburyport, is looking for volunteers of all ages to help them with their beach cleanup.
BOAT CAMP Inc. has adopted the stretch of Plum Island beach that spans from Captain’s Fishing Parties’ pier to the South Jetty as it runs along the Merrimack River.
Where To Meet: Meet at the playground on the northern end of Plum Island; BOAT CAMP will provide the gloves and bags. This is a great–and rewarding–way to welcome spring along the Merrimack River’s entrance.
After the c leanup, they will be bringing some tidepool animals to share under the Newburyport Bank tent at the opening celebration of the Clipper City Rail Trail, from noon to 4:00 pm.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
