The cycle of bloom at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport is ongoing and ever changing between mid-April and mid-June.

The park interpreter will lead you on a leisurely walk to view Maudslay in bloom. This program combines exercise with resource discovery and is slow paced particularly for seniors.

Meet at the headquarters building on 74 Curzon Mill Road. Please bring bug spray and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Maudslay State Park, the former Moseley family estate on the Merrimack River, is one of the jewels of the Greater Newburyport region. The 480-acre park offers commanding views of the Merrimack River and features 19th century gardens and plantings, rolling meadows, towering pines, and one of the largest naturally-occurring stands of mountain laurel in Massachusetts.

It’s a great place for walking, biking, horseback riding and informal picnics.

The parking fee for the park is $2.00.
