Greater Newburyport High School Basketball, Friday, February 5th

Here is the schedule for Friday’s high school basketball games for teams in the Greater Newburyport region:

Boys Basketball: All Games Start at 6:30 pm

  • Newburyport (5-10) at Pentucket (7-9).
    Pentucket still with a chance to make it to state tournament. Needs the win.
  • Triton (4-11) at Amesbury (1-16). 
    A LONG season for both teams.
  • Manchester Essex (13-5) at Georgetown (11-6).
    Best boys game of the night. Both teams tournament bound.


Girls Basketball: All Games Start at 6:30 pm

  • Pentucket (19-0) at Newburyport (8-9):
    Can Newburyport pull off the upset of the year? Pentucket is one of the best girls basketball teams in the state right now.
  • Amesbury (3-12) at Triton(7-10).
    Triton came close to qualifying. Need three more wins, with on,y two games left
  • Georgetown (2-13) at Manchester Essex (5-12). Rough season winding down for both teams.
