Quinn, a veteran member of the Roll & Tumble band and a top rate harp player, and soulful singer is no stranger to the Newburyport music scene. With his group of musical colleagues and friends, Quinn celebrates the music he is so very passionate about…. the blues.
He has made several CD’s including playing with the Blue Hornets and George McCann of the James Montgomery Blues Band, three well-received CDs with Roll & Tumble, including slide guitarist Frank Corso, and recently released his latest with the group of musicians that will accompany him for this upcoming concert.
Joining Justin Quinn on stage for this concert will include Jon Rosswho is considered “a great all around musician, really my favorite musician”, says Quinn. He plays bass, drums, mandolin, and dobro and can handle jazz, blue grass, country and the blues. Ross has been recording and playing for the past few years with the likes of James Cotton, Kim Wilson and most recently Duke Robilard.
Masterful Per Hanson, one of the top drummers in the blues genre will be joining Quinn on stage. Hanson has performed and recorded with James Cotton, Ronnie Earl, and is featured on the newest Charlie Musselwhite recording and the Junior Wells Tribute CD.
Dave Sagwill be holding down the bottom. This versatile bassist and singer is best known in the area as the lead in the raucous party band, Mad House, who has performed in the greater Boston area for many years. Dave performs at the Rhumb Line in Gloucester every Thursday night, where he runs an invitational blues jam.
