Volunteers Wanted To Learn How To Reset Leaning Gravestones

Are you interested in learning how to help preserve Newburyport’s historical gravestones?
Would you like to learn how to reset a leaning gravestone?

If you are, then make plans to attend the free Gravestone Restoration Workshop that is being offered on Saturday, October 24th at the Old Hill Burying Ground, Newburyport.

Facilitated by Jon Appell, gravestone conservator, interested volunteers will be  be trained in the proper technique for resetting leaning stones.

The free training session is sponsored by the Newburyport Community Preservation funds, the City Improvement Society, and the Public Works Department.

Where To Meet:

Meet at 9:00 am at the Auburn Street entrance of the Old Hill Burying Ground, located behind the Bartlett Mall.
