On Saturday, August 29th, Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center, Newburyport, is are offering an all day program exploring the world of odonates, the Latin term for dragonflies and damselflies.

If you are interested in dragonflies and learning more about them, you can join veteran odonatologist Chris Leahy for a day of learning and searching for these diverse, beautiful insects.

Cost:

Adults: $50 for Mass Audubon members; $60 for nonmembers

Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center, located at One Plum Island Turnpike in Newburyport, is a natural history education center that is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday and on Monday holidays, 8:30 to 4:00 pm.
