To help celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week, the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Newburyport, is hosting a free GO FISH! Kids Fishing Day on Saturday, June 13th from9:00 am to noon on Plum Island.
Plum Island offers some of the best surf fishing around, so celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week with children by coming to the Kids Fishing Day. Kids will learn:
- How to cast a line
- How to identify local fish and try their hand at fishing along the beach.
Where To Meet
Meet at the first parking lot at Sandy Point State Reservation at the southern end of Plum Island. No registration is required.
