Making Sense of Nature Hike on Parker River National Wildlife Refuge
On Saturday, March 21st, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge is hosting a nature hike for children of ages 6-10.
The nature hike will explore the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island and cover the following topics:
- Which tree has the roughest bark?
- Which branch is the smelliest?
Use your five senses to answer these questions and experience nature in this fun, interactive hike through dune and marsh habitats.
Meet at Parking Lot 4 (Hellcat Trail) in the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island. Dress for the weather.
The program is free, but space is limited and advanced registration is required. Please call 978-465-5753 (press “0″ to talk to a staff member) to register. Please note that the program may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.
