Newburyport, Georgetown & Pentucket Tournament Action, Feb. 27

Good luck to the four regional high school teams that are still alive in their respective MIAA State Tournaments this weekend. 

On the hockey front, Newburyport is the only local team that is playing in the tournament. On the basketball side, three high school teams are playing: the Pentucket and Georgetown Girls teams and the Georgetown Boys team.

Friday’s Games, February 27th

Basketball

  • Division 3 North Girls Basketball Tournament – No. 1 Pentucket vs. No. 9 Pope John, 7:00 p.m., at Amesbury High School
  • Division 4 North Girls Basketball Tournament – No. 14 Georgetown at No. 6 Minuteman, at 7:00 p.m., at Minuteman Regional High School, Lexington

Hockey:

  • Division 2 North Hockey Tournament – No. 8 Newburyport vs. No. 1 Winthrop, 7:45 p.m., Salem State College


Saturday, February 28th

Basketball

  • Division 4 North Boys Basketball Tournament – No. 8 New Mission at No. 1 Georgetown, 7 p.m.
