Greater Newburyport Eco Collaborative 2008 Green Expo

If you’re interested in checking out some of the best ways to save energy and find out about more environmentally friendly and sustainable products, make plans to visit the free Green Energy & Sustainable Practices Expo this Friday and Saturday at the Nock Middle School in Newburyport.

The Greater Newburyport Eco Collaborative 2008 Green Expo starts on Friday at 3:45 PM at the Nock Middle School (3:45 to 6:00 p.m.) and continues on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m at the school.

A broad range of businesses will present/demonstrate their products and services, and provide useful information to help promote healthier, more sustainable practices for both the business and residential communities.

The Green Expo will educate attendees in a family-friendly, non-partisan atmosphere on environmental matters and movements. Energy companies National Grid and Constellation Energy are expected to be present, along with solar companies SolarWrights and Borrego Solar, and a host of other green vendors and environmental experts.

The Eco Collaborative is a partnership between the city of Newburyport, the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Greater Newburyport Environmental Network. The group was recently organized with the intent to educate the public on healthy, sustainable practices, with the hope of expanding to surrounding cities and towns and marking Newburyport as an eco-friendly tourist destination.
