 Summer Learn To Sail Classes for Adults Offered by AYC

The American Yacht Club (AYC) will be hosting the Newburyport Summer Sailing Program for adults over the age of 18. Two four week sessions are being offered.

The AYC understands that learning to sail isn’t just for youngsters. Many of our members learned to sail as adults as well.  This program provides an opportunity for adults who wish to learn the basic of small boat handling and safety, to experience the joy of sailing on the Merrimac River and develop an appreciation for the sea.

This program will be conducted by an experienced certified full time sailing instructor who will provide land and water-based instruction two evenings a week for each four week session.

Each session runs for four weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays.

  • Session One; June 30 to July 23, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
  • Session Two; July 28 to Aug. 20, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Fees are $290 for nonmembers and $250 for AYC members.
