British Navy Denies Sonar Caused Whale Strandings Off Scotland

A recent article (April 18, 2008) on the BBC website reports on the concerns expressed by the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS) that the British Royal Navy’s use of sonar has contributed to the strandings and sonar-related deaths of 43 marine mammals off the coast of Scotland since February.
