2nd-Place Finish For Newburyport Girls Cross Country Team

It’s been a great season this fall for the girls sports programs at Newburyport High School. In addition to the very successful season enjoyed by the Newburyport girls soccer team, the Newburyport Clippers girls cross country team has enjoyed another  fine year.

This past weekend the Newburyport Clippers girls cross country team finished second out of the 34 team field at the Division 4 Championship held at Franklin Park on Saturday, November 10th. Seven of the Clippers finished in the top 44!

This is the 15th consecutive season in which the Clippers posted a top-five finish. With the top-five finish, the Clippers qualified for the Mass. All-State Meet this coming saturday (November 17th at 11:00 am) at the Gardner Municipal Golf Course.
