Another great fish story!
An almost six foot long rare and endangered Atlantic Sturgeon was caught and released by a fisherman just outside the mouth of the Merrimack River in Newburyport, Massachusetts on monday night, August 20th.
An article by Stephen Tait in the August 22nd edition of the Newburyport Daily News describes the catch of this rare fish off the north jetty of the Merrimack River by Jeff Hajjar, a Methuen native, now living in Idaho. Mr.Hajjar initially thought that he had hooked up with a shark.
